Croatia: Mariculture conference programme announced |

The programme of the Offshore Mariculture Conference 2010 organised by Mercator Media Ltd at the Hilton Imperial Hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia on 16-18 June has been released. Chaired by Arne Fredheim of CREATE/Sintef, the conference programme includes a number of prestigious speakers from FAO, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), UNDP, research institutes in Norway, Spain, Croatia, Germany, and Italy as well as leaders from the private sector. The latest developments in research on feeding, preventing escapes, health issues as well as spatial planning, monitoring and future technologies will be presented at the conference, in addition to case studies from international fish farmers. On 18 June, the last day of the event, delegates will have the opportunity to visit a sea bass and sea bream farm. The Conference is aimed at farming companies, research organisations and suppliers looking to update themselves on the latest policies, products, research and case studies within the offshore finfish shellfish and seaweed farming industries.
